About Big Comedy Shop

Big Comedy Shop

delivers creative issue-based learning workshops with a comedy twist for young people of any age. Our workshops are designed to engage and challenge participants whilst having fun! Using comedy we explore sensitive subjects allowing young people to feel relaxed and encourage them to feel free to express themselves through drama and other creative sources.

Big Comedy Shop was formed in 2007 by Ali Kahn and Eddie Capli and began as a Comedy and Acting School for young people based in South Manchester. Today our school continues to thrive creating live and filmed comedy productions.

Our work within the youth sector, schools and colleges began later in 2007 where Big Comedy Shop has grown in reputation for being an orginal and refreshing creative service provider meeting the needs and agendas of youth workers, teachers and of course young people.

Big Comedy Shop is proud of the track record we have built in using comedy in education and training and we believe that we have a winning formula in the style of work we provide and original content we use, having formed partnerships with organisations who ask us to return time and time again.

Big Comedy Shop tutors have years of experience working with young people both inside and outside of education and are professional actors and comedy performers within the entertainment industry. Our love of comedy, drama and working with young people have all come together in the form of Big Comedy Shop.
