INTRODUCTION

Big comedy shop is noted for its ability to work a crowd. We have a variety of resources which can be excellent additions to any event no matter how big or small. We can also work alongside you, to fully co ordinate your event from start to finish, whilst being designed to entertain motivate and inspire.

 We tailor make entertainment for any event for young people or adults or both!

Comedy compare/MC

One of Big Comedy Shop’s founders Ali Kahn is an experienced and rather amusing comedy guru! Ali has had over ten years experience working with audiences of children to OAPs. Ali can adapt her comedy material to suit any crowd and leaves her audience feeling satisfied every time! Big Comedy Shop also has a range of other comedy performers available.

Comedy Karaoke

With our top of the range karaoke equipment including lights and smoke machine, Big Comedy Shop can provide you with an evening’s entertainment or as an added extra to your event.  Karaoke is a great way of bringing a crowd together no matter what age you are! Our karaoke can be provided with Ali Kahn’s comedy character “Carrie O Kay” who will have your attendees in fits of laughter with her alternative lyrics and daft dancing ability!

Mobile disco

A great way to end an event with a boogie with Big Comedy Shop’s own DJ Scotty! From 80s school disco to modern day chart toppers - you just let us know the type of music your event requires!

 

Comedy Bingo

Bingo has become more and more popular over recent years and is still a great asset to any event, especially if you are raising money for a cause. Big Comedy Shop can provide your Bingo needs with a comedy character presenting for extra chuckles!

Energisers

Need a warm up energiser for your event? Working with a group of people that do not know one another and want to break the ice? What better way than with a comedy energiser session or maybe some laughter yoga?

Interactive workshops

 For any event that need people mixing our workshops are a positive way of getting participants talking and interacting. Maybe the point of your event is to get people’s opinions about an issue or to explore a theme?  Whatever it is Big Comedy Shop can provide creative based workshops to suit your needs.

13 minute sketch show

Needing a bit of entertainment for your event and want something a little different? We can offer you a 13 minute live sketch show performed by professional comedy actors and if you like starring young people on any theme or topic you want!

 

 

PAST PROJECTS

A DAY OF CREATIVE FUN WITH WEST NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COLLEGE:

A celebration event for the college’s students studying childcare. Big Comedy Shop provided comedy workshops to add some fun to the day!

 

 

MY PLACE OUR PLACE WITH SALFORD YOUTH SERVICE:

Provided a crowd energiser warm up for 100 young people and 40 staff for their ‘my place our place’ event and where we continued to provide entertainment throughout the event. This event was also filmed and documented by BCS Media.  

YOUNG PEOPLE'S COMMUNITY COMMITTEE DAY WITH WEST SALFORD:

Big Comedy Shop co-ordinated this event which was an event providing young people with an opportunity to have their voice heard by important members of their community. This event included the use of comedy, drama, art and MC/rap as resources for the young people to access their thoughts and views which were then directed by our tutors and presented to an audience of invited councillors followed by discussions led by BCS between the young people and representatives from the local council.  

WIGAN AND LEIGH’S 2010-2011 NETBALL LEAGUE AWARDS PRESENTATION CELEBRATION: An evening of comedy comparing and hosting of the netball league presentation for all the female players.

YOUNG WOMEN’S AWARDS HALTON: Big Comedy Shop provided the host and comedy compare for the evening in Halton.  

HALTON YOUTH PARLIMENT EVENT:  A celebration event for all young people involved in the choosing of a new representative to be part of the youth parliament. Big Comedy Shop provided entertainment with an adult and a child performer called the 13 MIN SKETCH SHOW.
